Week of September 6th This week we are learning that the word "Technology" means more than computers... in fact, one definition of Technology is: "The use of human knowledge to convert resources into goods or services that people want or need."
We made the definition a little more kid-friendly: "Technology means the things people invent that make our life easier AND help us do things we couldn't do, as easily, without them.
So Technology can be many things! We will adjust this definition to bring it into more kid-friendly languaage, and then complete a thought-provoking written activity together to identify several types of technology we use every day. Next week will continue to identify different types of technology by making collages from magazines and newspapers - we will be sure to upload some pictures so we can share what we created!
